We are expanding our team in Ulaanbaatar, and we are looking for dynamic and self-motivated individuals for the positions of Sr. Financial and Business Development Specialist, Accounting Manager, Communications Manager, and Executive Administrative Assistant.
Sr. Financial and Business Development Specialist
Key responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the President of Peabody Mongolia with financial analysis as required.

2. Developing, enhancing and maintaining financial models used for commercial evaluation of acquisitions, development projects and contract negotiations.

3. Consolidating budget, forecast and strategic plan information analyzing changes and preparing reconciliations vs. actual, forecast and prior year’s results.

4. Preparing presentations, exhibits and supplemental schedules as required.

5. Completing special projects and non-routine assignments as needed.

Job Requirements

· Experience with financial systems (SAP/IP preferred.)

· Experience in financial evaluations of business development opportunities

· Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

· A demonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex concepts.

· Ability to work at both detailed analytical level and at summary level on projects and assignments with speed and accuracy.

· Ability to prioritize various projects, modification requests, etc. which may be in progress simultaneously.

· Effective oral and written communication.

· Ability to work overtime as required.

· Master’s degree is preferred, minimum four-year degree from accredited college or university with degree in finance or accounting

· Five years work experience in financial planning or accounting with modeling, U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.

· Advanced English required

· Lim ited travel as needed to US and China.

Accounting Manager
Key responsibilities include:

1. Preparing financial and management reports for all accounting work related to Peabody Mongolia activities.

2. Managing payment of invoices, and performing processes related to bank deposits, wire transfers, checks, and credit cards cash flows in multiple currencies.

3. Preparing budgets and monthly and yearly reconciliation - budget must comply with Mongolian laws, U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

4. Coordinating with auditors, external accountants, tax advisors as well as Peabody’s accounting, t reasury and tax departments in the United States

5. Managing project accounts for large mining, and power projects.

6. Optimizing tax structure in conjunction with the Peabody tax department and external advisors for Peabody Mongolia.

Job Requirements

· A bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting/finance from accredited university or colle ge plus relevant accounting certification.

· Five to seven years of accounting, auditing or finance experience.

· Ability to coordinate with external accounting, audit and tax firms as well as Peabody’s corporate accounting staff.

· Understanding of Western and Mongolian accounting methods.

· Oversee budget expense to ensure financial compliance.

· Control and, track monthly balance sheet and, expenses; keep weekly travel and expense reports and spending, and keep inventory and, variance reports.

· Assist in preparing and implementing annual budget and manage financial planning and prepare statements and data analysis.

· Manage purchasing, accounts payable and receivables.

· Must be flexible to work in different time zones to accommodate meetings and video/voice conference calls with colleagues in the U.S. and Australia and other parts of the world. Limited travel as needed.

· Must be able to handle multiple tasks and assignments as required.

· Must have good interpersonal skills; deal effectively with employees and others at all levels within and outside the organization.

· Fluency in English and Mongolian, both oral and written required.

Executive Administrative Assistant
Key responsibilities include:

1. Performing various administrative support functions for the President of Peabody Mongolia, including meeting planning and coordination, answering correspondence, making travel arrangements, preparing itineraries, composing emails, sending faxes.

2. Organizing and expediting workflow throu gh supervisor’s office; facilitating and coordinating, as appropriate, the work of those involved in a given project and initiating follow-up action as necessary. Providing support to executives who work and travel in multiple time zones.

3. Maintaining and managing executive calendar and arranging meetings with senior level executives, corresponding to state or government officials and other designees as identified by supervisor.

4. Composing or modifying memos and documents using accurate language, punctuation and, grammar.

Job Requirements

· Must be a strong communicator and fluent in Mongolian and English.

· A minimum of five years experience as an Executive Assistant or Administrative Assistant supporting an Executive is required.

· A minimum of two years college experience is preferred.

· General understanding of basic accounting/finance principles and terminology.

· Strong intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Ability to compose a nd/or modify memos and documents using accurate punctuation, grammar, and proofreading;

· Applicant must be highly organized, anticipate and coordinate supervisor’s needs by keeping up-to-date on departmental activities.

· Comfortable dealing with senior level executives and external stakeholders.

· Ability to work with and coordinate activities of other senior executives;

· Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, detailed oriented, professional and friendly demeanor, team player, able to prioritize a heavy workload, and flexible working with global offices in multiple time zones.

Communications Manager
Key responsibilities include:

1. Identifying key stakeholders and directing a communications program with community, civic and business leaders; universities, non-profit organizations, and non-governmental organizations primarily in Ulaanbaatar and South Gobi.

2. Identifying and managing company sponsorships for local events or activities benefiting the people of Mongolia through education, health, cultural and historic preservation activities.

3. Assisting with development of a range of company communications including fact sheets, position papers or speeches.

4. Serving as a contributing author for the company’s flagship communications vehicles including the company’s Corporate and Social Responsibility Report, the company’s newspaper, ‘Conveyor,’ and the company’s website, PeabodyEnergy.com.

5. Managing a stakeholder database tool that includes frequent qualitative analyses of key constituencies including media.

6. Maintaining internal databases for a variety of project needs.

7. Ensuring timely and accurate translation of materials in Mongolian and English.

8. Supporting additional engagement activities as defined.

Job Requirements

· Strong oral and written communications skills, including fluency in English and Mongolian.

· A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or relevant career path with 7 to 10 years of communications experience

· Knowledge of Mongolia’s: minerals and mining sector, governance and politics, economic and social policies and trends, international relations and geo-politics.

· Behavior characterized by high ethical standards aligned with Peabody’s mission statement and code of business conduct.

· Proficiency in basic computing skills, including use of Microsoft word and power point.

· Knowledge of the energy industry is helpful.

· Must be willing to travel throughout Asia.

· A writing test may be administered prior to hiring.

· A portfolio is required.
